Julie began her career in public accounting in 1985 and received her CPA license in 1989. She first practiced in Los Angeles, California working for a local CPA firm, specializing in financial statements, audits and taxation. Upon moving to Charlotte, North Carolina, Julie continued her career as a tax specialist at PricewaterhouseCoopers. While in Charlotte, Julie received a North Carolina CPA license and gained extensive experience in complex tax issues including 1031 exchanges and tax reorganizations. She was employed by a local Charlotte firm where she managed a number of diverse tax, audit and review clients. Her areas of expertise include real estate, construction, agriculture, retail, service and manufacturing.
Julie joined the firm in November 2005 and became a shareholder in January 2012. She is the current Treasurer of the Santa Maria Valley Discovery Museum and is serving on the Santa Maria Affiliate of the Santa Barbara Foundation.
